CURRENT
HISTORY of EXPERIENCE
Systems Engineer –
ATR, General Dynamics IT (Contract) - February 2015 – Present
·
Working with a
great team of Network Systems Engineers, the GDIT Hampton PMO office designs,
engineers, installs and provides top tier support for the ADCS (Air Defense
Communications Systems) network. On a daily basis we examine, analyze
and determine what and how best to deploy modern communications systems to
support a broad network that protects the US, US Territories and Canadian air
space.
·
My domain of
routers, switches & support devices ranges from Guam, Hawaii, North
America, & the Caribbean. From Radar telemetry, to direct radio
communications for FAA & USAF airspace interceptors. I configure
routers, switches, and support devices to the highest levels without
exception. Port security, EIGRP, ACL’s, VLAN, Subnetting, Crypto, T1 controller
voice ports & dial peers are a sample of technologies I practice daily in
support of my team & our concerted goals.
Network Engineer,
Sys Admin, Help Desk Lead – CACI, PROSOFT (Contract) - July 2012 –
February 2015
·
I excelled as a
Network Engineer (Jr.) in support of the SUPSHIP Newport News Network
Operations. My experiences in Cisco, Dell, Microsoft & a host of
vendors gave me a diverse background. I documented with MS Excel,
designed using Visio & reported using STIG Checklist, configured &
deployed multiple levels of network & network security using the Jobs
tool in Solarwinds Orion Web Console for mass backups, and or IOS updates in
my day to day practices.
·
Managed DHCP
scope via InfoBlox, managed wireless guest services from building an entire
network from a Verizon Hotspot to crisis response, network infrastructure
backup & redeploy using Solarwinds NPM, NCM & Engineer Tools. I
brought energy and focus to my team via SOP’s, configuration change
management, network monitor, management & auditing. Daily I
supported my Server Operations Team with On Demand Desktop Streaming (ODDS),
Active Directory, provided Information Assurance through mitigation of
network threats, & provided onsite dispatch support for all of my
customers network needs.
·
My background
knowledge & formal training in a wide verity of network technologies from
researching & deploying EIGRP to adding & managing port channels,
switchport security, engineering & deploying vlan & subnet separation
of servers with ACL filtering for security mitigation, helped translate when
speaking to a diverse group of managers, coworkers, military (Army, Navy, Air
Force, Marine Corp, Coast Guard), government & contractors of different
backgrounds & education.
